Fan coil maintenance is performed once a year (typically in the summer), where a maintenance company is brought in to clean out the fan coils in each unit and replace the air filter(s). It is recommended that you replace your air filter as needed based on the amount of dust that accumulates in your unit.
In the spring of each year, the buildings change from heating to cooling, and the opposite occurs in the fall. Sometimes, residents do not feel a change in the temperature of their air flow from the fan coil. The following troubleshooting steps to reset the fan coil typically resolve this issue:
Set temperature to maximum (90F or 32C) and wait for the click.
Turn off the fan coil either by a) opening the cover and flicking the toggle switch to off, or b) turning off the breaker for the fan coil (usually located in the den).
Wait 30 minutes.
Turn the unit back on and set to desired temperature.
If you continue to experience issues after taking these steps, please reach out to hve3.pm@delcondo.com.
